The Foundation is governed by an independent, eight-member Board of Directors. The board is self-perpetuating and all members serve without compensation. Directors are elected for rotating three-year terms at the Foundation’s annual meeting in December. The Foundation’s president serves on the board in a non-voting capacity.
In selecting directors, the Foundation tries to ensure a breadth of experience, viewpoints, and geography. Directors have been drawn from the fields of accounting, the arts, business, energy, law, and nonprofit administration.
